This is a great song sung by Frank Ifield..whose unique voice will forever change the way romantic ballads are sung
This is a poem of old love and promised love...one moment sure..the next unsure.. and of a fervent plea for answers to a growing passion..
"A HOPEFUL LOVE.."
From the poetry collection of Susan Jane Kahon
I need to throw the old away Bury it in the deepest ground And tell my heart to love you..now Now that you've been found Yesterday I saw your face You seemed to be the sweetest kind I'm hoping for my heart to blossom In the garden of my mind I stood beneath the aging tree The stately weeping willow And dreamt that you were holding me As I lay upon my pillow I don't need to be persuaded For your heart..it seemed just right I thought I saw you looking back 'Twas then my heart took flight My heart was screaming"Let me in.." Take me to where your soul resides Let me be a part of you For I want to be inside........ Savagely..the daylight sun Left it's lonely mark It turned into night's curtain Plunging me into the dark.. Now I am seeking light again And with daily prayer have pleaded Please see me as I really am One woman you have needed So here I wait..and reach for you Silently with love all around me I wait for your eyes to match my own And for your strong arms to surround me Written by Susan Jane Kahon Little Beaver Productions July 24 2002 ICU!!!! 7:24 pm
